Opportunity Details
The ALP is designed for mid- to senior-level professionals who wish to broaden their focus on leadership education and development. The program blends structured activities with independent research, professional exploration, and hands-on leadership practice, all within the East-West Center campus environment.
The ALP provides the following support:
Accommodation: Up to US $1,856 in an East-West Center residential hall
Monthly stipend: Up to US $1,000 for selected living expenses
Visa sponsorship: J-1 visa and SEVIS reimbursement for non-US citizens
Travel health insurance during the program
Proprietary course materials required for all program activities
Participant Responsibilities
Travel to and from Hawai‘i
Additional living expenses not covered by the stipend (approximately US $960.88 for 55 days)
US visa application fees and related requirements
Accommodation and health insurance outside official program dates
Professionals with 10–15 years of progressive experience
Individuals shifting or expanding careers toward leadership education
Candidates with a proven record of leadership, reflection, and professional development
Commitment to prosperity and sustainability in the Asia Pacific region
