About East-West Center - University of Hawaii ADB Scholarship
University of Hawaii ADB Scholarship 2027 provides fully funded Master’s study opportunities at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa for qualified professionals from developing ADB member countries. The ADB–Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) funds tuition, monthly subsistence, housing support, travel, books, and medical insurance for selected scholars. The scholarship is funded by the Government of Japan through the Asian Development Bank and administered by the East-West Center in partnership with the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. It supports approved graduate programs for the Fall 2027 intake and targets professionals who intend to return to their home countries after study.

East-West Center - University of Hawaii ADB Scholarship Requirements
- Be a citizen and current resident of an eligible developing member country of the Asian Development Bank.
- Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application
- Hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Have at least 2 years of full-time professional work experience after completing a university degree
- Have a strong academic record
- Meet the English-language requirements of the selected program
- Be in good health
- Be admitted to an approved Master’s program
- Intend to return to their home country after completing their studies

- Complete the required admission process for the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa
- Submit the ADB-JSP scholarship application through the East-West Center
