About EIT Health - Biotech Certified Innovation Path
The programme aims to strengthen Europe’s biotechnology ecosystem by combining biotech expertise, entrepreneurship, innovation, regulatory knowledge, leadership, and industry collaboration while supporting the commercialization of healthcare technologies.

EIT Health - Biotech Certified Innovation Path Requirements
A consortium of minimum two Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) established in two different eligible Member States, of which:
- At least one HEI must be established in an EIT RIS region; and
- At least one of the participating Higher Education Institutions must be authorised to award ECTS credits for the repurposed courses.
- At least one non-academic or industry partner, expected to actively contribute to the curriculum of the repurposed courses and to the supervision of learner assessment. Active and substantive involvement of non-academic or industry partners is essential, as a highly integrated, innovative learning by doing approach is a core principle of EIT Labelled Fellowships. Learners are expected to work both individually and in interdisciplinary teams, typically addressing authentic challenges articulated by industry and other non-academic partners.
Application Date and Process
- Step 1: Register your organisation in the EU Funding & tender opportunities portal to obtain the nine-digit Participant Identification Code (PIC number). If you do not know if your organisation already has a PIC number, you can verify directly on the EU Portal whether your organisation is already registered.
