About Emerald Publishing Indigenous Voices Case Writing Competition

The Indigenous Voices Case Writing Competition is designed to increase the representation of Indigenous perspectives in business and management teaching cases.

The competition provides Indigenous scholars with an opportunity to document real-world business situations involving Indigenous people and organisations and bring these perspectives into the teaching case literature.

Benefits of Emerald Publishing Indigenous Voices Case Writing Competition

• The total competition prize fund is £2,000.

The awards are distributed as follows:

• Winner: £1,000
• First runner-up: £500
• Second runner-up: £500

In addition to the financial prizes, selected cases may receive an opportunity for publication in The CASE Journal.

Emerald Publishing Indigenous Voices Case Writing Competition Requirements

The competition is open to Indigenous scholars from all Indigenous communities worldwide.

A submission must:

• Be authored by at least one Indigenous scholar.
• Feature an Indigenous protagonist or organisation.
• Be based on a real decision-making situation.
• Focus on an actual company or organisation.
• Be written as a teaching case.
• Be original and unpublished.

Non-Indigenous scholars may participate as co-authors, provided that at least one author is an Indigenous scholar.
