A flagship program empowering Africa’s next generation of climate researchers to shape global conversations on Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) and Solar Radiation Modification (SRM).In its inaugural edition, ACIFER brought together 60 selected fellows from over 45 African countries, chosen from 400+ applicants.
The fellowship combined expert mentorship, technical learning, and policy engagement to build a strong community of young climate leaders. Participants explored the science and ethics of climate interventions while developing solutions rooted in Africa’s realities and global climate justice.
