Benefits of EPFL Summer Research Program in Switzerland
- The EPFL research program offers each participant a stipend of CHF 3,600 for the two-month duration, including housing and general living expenses.
- The program provides mentoring by experienced faculty and scientific staff at EPFL.
- Housing arrangements are organised and funded in advance through the stipends. Participants are accommodated together, either in Lausanne or potentially in Geneva, depending on their assigned lab.
- Moreover, participants will get accommodation with either single or double rooms or share communal kitchen and bathroom facilities with fellow SRP participants.
- Similarly, the majority of travel expenses to and from Switzerland are also covered by the program. For overseas flights, reimbursement is provided up to CHF 1,000, and for shorter distances, up to CHF 500 is reimbursed.

EPFL Summer Research Program in Switzerland Requirements
- The EPFL Life Sciences Summer Research Program is open to international undergraduate and first-year master’s students.
- All applicants must be currently enrolled in a university, pursuing studies in biology, bio-physics, chemistry, bio-engineering, bio-informatics, quantitative biology, genetics courses, or other programs related to life sciences.
- Moreover, students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.75/4.0 or higher.
- To be eligible for the EPFL summer research program, applicants must have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework up to the first year of a master’s degree before the commencement of the program.
- Similarly, they should demonstrate a keen interest in building a career in life sciences.
- All applicants need to submit their applications exclusively through the online application system. No other formats will be accepted.
