About Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship
Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship is an EMJM award that provides a monthly unit contribution and tuition-fee waiver to outstanding applicants. The Mundus MAPP Scholarship supports students for the 24-month programme, assisting with travel, visa, installation and subsistence costs through a 1400 EUR/month contribution and full tuition waiver.
The Mundus MAPP Consortium, supported by the Erasmus+ action of the European Union, is composed of partner institutions (CEU, IBEI, ISS, York) and offers EMJM and Institutional Scholarships. The consortium also purchases health insurance for enrolled students and provides additional disability support where required.
Benefits of Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship
- EMJM scholarship is calculated on the basis of a monthly unit cost of 1400 EUR/month which corresponds to a maximum scholarship amount of 33 600 Euros (24 months).
- The 1400 EUR monthly contribution assists students in covering travel, visa, installation and subsistence costs, and any other costs.
- EMJM scholarship recipients receive a full tuition-fee waiver.
- Additional financial support is available for students with individual needs depending on the level of disability/support needed.
- Institutional Scholarship: one per study track offering a 50% tuition fee waiver at Year 1 and Year 2 institutions (does not include a stipend).
- Health insurance – in accordance with the EACEA minimum requirements – for the duration of the studies (plus 2 weeks prior and 2 months after) is purchased by the Mundus MAPP Consortium for all enrolled students.
Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship Requirements
- The Erasmus Mundus (EMJM) scholarship will be offered to outstanding applicants from both within and outside the EU.
- A limited number of EMJM scholarships are awarded to the highest-ranked applicants for the duration of the programme (24 months).
- An EMJM scholarship holder cannot benefit from another EU funded scholarship scheme to follow the same (or another) EMJM master course (for the entire period of enrollment in the course).
- Those who have already benefitted from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarship (EMJM) are not eligible to apply for additional EMJM scholarship.
Application Date and Process
- Applicants submitting their application by the scholarship application deadline on December 1, 2026 will be asked in the online portal to indicate their interest in a potential scholarship.
- Mundus MAPP applicants do not need to pay the CEU application fee unless they apply for other CEU programs.
- Since only a small number of the top candidates will be awarded a scholarship, applicants are strongly encouraged to seek external funding.
- Admitted students are eligible to apply for other scholarships administered by partner institutions or recommended external scholarships; see partner links for further information.
