About F.M. Kirby Foundation Summer Internship Program
The F. M. Kirby Foundation Summer Internship Program is for rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in exploring a career in philanthropy or nonprofit management. The Summer Internship can be tailored to the interests and skill sets of the selected intern, but will involve interacting with individuals in a broad array of program areas, including health, arts, environment, human services, and education; working in a collaborative, team environment; assisting with Foundation communications; and working on projects that involve research and require strong writing skills. At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have gained a deeper understanding of the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors, valuable work experience, and networking opportunities.
Benefits of F.M. Kirby Foundation Summer Internship Program
- Compensation for the F. M. Kirby Foundation Internship is $23/hour. A one-time travel stipend will also be provided.
F.M. Kirby Foundation Summer Internship Program Requirements
- Candidates must have qualified for need-based financial aid in the previous school year and maintain a current GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Students in any major are welcome to apply.
