About Food and Society at Aspen Institute Food Leaders Fellow

Opportunity Details

The Food Leaders Fellowship run by Food & Society at the Aspen Institute,introduces the fellowship as an 18‑month leadership program that brings together changemakers in the food system from the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. The goal is to help them grow personally, collaborate across sectors, and design action plans that create a fair, sustainable, and healthy food system.

Food and Society at Aspen Institute Food Leaders Fellow Requirements

Candidates must be based in the United States, Mexico, or Canada. Fellows will be selected on their own merits to assemble a cohort with varied backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. Specifically, the program seeks candidates who:

  • are changemakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators in the food system
  • focus on creating a fair, sustainable, and healthy food system
  • have demonstrated early success and are ready to think long-term about the impact they can have throughout their careers
  • want to collaborate across the food system and bring solutions to scale
  • value continued growth and learning from backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences that differ from their own
  • want to be part of a community that collaborates for decades to come
