The Ford Environmental Grants Program is a corporate sustainability initiative by Ford that supports environmental and community-based projects in Central America and the Caribbean. It focuses on practical, measurable initiatives that address environmental degradation, climate change, and sustainable development.The program prioritises projects already in execution that can demonstrate early results and scalable impact.

Benefits of Ford Environmental Grants Program

• This year, Ford Environmental Donations will distribute $85,000 (USD) in Puerto Rico and $85,000 (USD) among the winning projects in Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. 

Ford Environmental Grants Program Requirements

Projects submitted to Ford Environmental Donations must meet the following profile:

• Be led by legally constituted non-profit organizations with their own bank account
• Demonstrate positive community impact
• Contribute explicitly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• Include environmental education actions as part of their intervention
• Have the support of public-private partnerships that give sustainability to it
