The International Cooperation Social Innovation Grant supports projects that use innovative, community-driven approaches to address poverty and inequality in developing regions.The program funds initiatives that create sustainable development opportunities through economic, health, and education interventions.
Socio-economic development and entrepreneurship
To strengthen the economic and productive fabric in vulnerable communities through the creation or strengthening of businesses, the promotion of entrepreneurship and training.
Community Health & Wellness
Promotion of the universal right to health through the improvement of primary health care services, equitable access to maternal and child health, disease prevention and care, access to safe drinking water and sanitation, and training of health personnel.
Education and training
Promotion of innovative educational initiatives aimed at improving learning, and promoting technical and vocational training actions to generate higher quality job opportunities.
The entities that can apply for the call are:
Non-profit entities.
Social economy entities (such as foundations, associations, cooperatives, etc.) whose statutes explicitly state among their purposes the promotion of international development cooperation.
In addition, they must meet the following requirements:
Be legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry with domicile in Spanish or Portuguese territory and have as an institutional purpose the performance of activities related to international cooperation for development.
Prove a total annual income for the year 2025 of less than 2 million euros.
Prove a minimum of 3 years of documented experience in international cooperation actions.
Have a local partner in the country where the project will be carried out.
