About Funded Traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Sierra Leone

 The European Union (EU) is a close political and economic partnership between 27 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organisations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic missions, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy. A traineeshipof up to 6 months in 2026 within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation. The tentative start date are June and October2026.

  • Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travels, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee. 

Funded Traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Sierra Leone Requirements

  • Taking into account the local health and security conditions, only applicants currently holding Sierra Leone citizenship will be considered.
  • At least having achieved a B.A. degree in Law, Social Sciences, Political Sciences or Journalism
  • Candidates must have less than one year of professional experience after their graduation y the signing date of the Traineeship agreement. (other traineeships or student jobs or volunteering works carried out during university or after graduation are not considered as professional experience).
