Opportunity Details
The Climate, Food and Farming, Global Research Alliance Development Scholarships (CLIFF-GRADS) Programme is a joint initiative of the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA), the Global Methane Hub, and CGIAR Climate Action Program. CLIFF-GRADS builds capability in early-career scientists from developing countries to conduct applied research in agriculture greenhouse gas emissions quantification and mitigation.
Specialized Training: Short-term (4–6 months) scientific training in cutting-edge methods for measuring, modelling, and mitigating agricultural greenhouse gas emissions.
Research Opportunities: Hands-on experience with projects directly relevant to climate change, agriculture, and food security in developing countries.
Career Development: Builds scientific capability and strengthens career prospects for early-career researchers.
Global Networking: Preference for placements outside the student’s home country encourages building international collaborations and professional connections.
Contribution to Climate Solutions: Fellows contribute to global efforts in reducing emissions and improving carbon storage in agricultural systems.
