About Google Semarak Malaysia Fund for Skills, Sustainability and Digital Growth
The Google Semarak Malaysia Fund is a grassroots funding initiative designed to empower local organisations in Selangor, Malaysia. It supports projects that create measurable community impact across social development, economic empowerment, and environmental sustainability. The program is structured to help organisations turn local ideas into scalable, real-world solutions.
Benefits of Google Semarak Malaysia Fund for Skills, Sustainability and Digital Growth
- Selected projects can receive funding of up to RM30,000 per initiative.
- In addition to financial support, recipients gain access to structured guidance, planning resources, and advisory support from the program team.
Google Semarak Malaysia Fund for Skills, Sustainability and Digital Growth Requirements
- Projects must address one of the following themes: (i) workforce skilling and career pathways, (ii) supporting small businesses to thrive, (iii) AI and digital training to build education-linked skills and career readiness, (iv) watershed and water resilience to strengthen environmental outcomes, (v) energy and sustainability initiatives to reduce footprint and improve resilience
- Projects must take place in the State of Selangor
- Grant recipients must complete their project and submit an impact report with both qualitative and quantitative data within 12 months of receiving funds
- Eligible organisations include schools, ROS-registered societies, SSM-registered entities (including social enterprises), cooperatives registered with Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia. All applicants must demonstrate a clear social mission and that grant funding will be used exclusively for activities that deliver direct community benefit.
