The Community Gaming Grants Program is a provincial funding initiative that distributes a portion of commercial gaming revenues to eligible not-for-profit organizations in British Columbia.The programme is designed to strengthen community life by supporting organizations that deliver ongoing services and activities addressing identified local needs.

• Local organizations: up to a maximum of $125,000 per year
• Regional/Provincial organizations: up to a maximum of $250,000 per year

Government of British Columbia - Community Gaming Grants Program Requirements

Eligible applicants must generally be not-for-profit organizations operating in British Columbia and must demonstrate that their programs provide a direct benefit to their communities.

Organizations should also meet requirements relating to governance, membership, community benefit, and financial need.

Key eligibility characteristics include:

• The organization must be not-for-profit.
• The organization must provide a direct benefit to its community.
• Membership must be open and democratic where applicable.
• Board selection processes must be open and democratic.
• The organization must demonstrate financial need.
• The program must already be ongoing when the application is submitted.
• The program must fit within one of the five eligible sectors.
