Applications are currently being accepted for the Gulbenkian Institute for Advanced Study (GIAS) Fellowship Programme 2027/28. Interested applicants are encouraged to click here to learn more about this opportunity and apply for it.
The 2027/28 GIAS Fellowship Programme seeks to bring together an international community of exceptional researchers working across disciplines. Fellows will join a vibrant intellectual community where they can pursue independent research while engaging with scholars from diverse academic backgrounds.
The GIAS will host international academics, but will also consider applications from emeriti, independent scholars, and artists. Applications in most non-laboratorial and non-experimental fields will be considered, provided that the proposed work is not primarily practice- or application-oriented.
Applicants to the fellowships should submit their applications individually, and include a curriculum vitae, a brief description of what they propose to do while at the GIAS, and the names of two referees.
Fellowship offers will be made from late January of the following year.
