The Hamilton City Council Community Initiative Grants provide funding to small not-for-profit community organisations within Hamilton city to support services, initiatives, and projects that improve community wellbeing and foster social connectivity. The grants aim to enable community-led activities that create meaningful outcomes for residents.
Total funding pool: $180,000.
Grants are designed to assist community groups in delivering programs, activities, or events that strengthen connections and improve wellbeing.
Funding is competitive and dependent on available resources.
Open to community groups delivering services or activities for Hamilton communities.
Applicants must be legally constituted not-for-profit entities, such as charitable trusts or incorporated societies.
Organisations must have a Trust Deed or Constitution and at least three board or committee members.
Organisations must have been operating for a minimum of 12 months at the time of application.
Applicants must demonstrate capacity to deliver the project, maintain proper record-keeping, and have accounted for any previous grants received.
