About Hamilton Community Foundation - ABACUS Small Grant Program for Teachers
The ABACUS Small Grant Program helps teachers create learning opportunities that go beyond regular classroom activities. Funding can be used for enrichment experiences that encourage students to explore new ideas, develop skills, work collaboratively, and participate more actively in their school communities.
Benefits of Hamilton Community Foundation - ABACUS Small Grant Program for Teachers
- The ABACUS Small Grant Program provides $100 to $500 per project.
Hamilton Community Foundation - ABACUS Small Grant Program for Teachers Requirements
- Teachers from any of Hamilton’s publicly funded schools
- Project must be for students in Grades 6, 7, 8, or for students during their transition to Grade 9
- Projects must align with the overall ABACUS goal: “to increase the likelihood that young people who face multiple barriers will graduate high school and access post-secondary opportunities by focusing on the pivotal middle school years and supporting the transition into high school” through learning enrichment (see below for details on ABACUS)
