About Harpswell Leadership Residents Program
The Leadership Residency is a professional development opportunity based in Harpswell’s leadership centers in Phnom Penh. Leadership Residents (LRs) are volunteers who support, mentor, teach, collaborate with and live alongside our Cambodian Women’s Leadership students and alumnae.
LRs become integral members of our community, joining the Harpswell sisterhood and alumnae network. Through their work, LRs can expect to refine their professional interests, define their leadership style and engage in hands-on social impact.
Benefits of Harpswell Leadership Residents Program
- There is no application fee to apply for this women program.
- The leadership program will provide a full room. Participants will receive accommodation during their residency, allowing them to live at Harpswell’s leadership centers and become part of the community.
- Participants will get board plus travel insurance to LRs. The program provides board along with travel insurance, helping participants manage important living and travel-related expenses during their residency.
- Moreover, the LR will get a monthly stipend of $330 USD.
- Participants will be required to make their own travel arrangements to and from Cambodia. LRs are responsible for arranging and covering their travel to Cambodia at the beginning of the program and their return travel after completing their residency.
Harpswell Leadership Residents Program Requirements
- The program is open to young women leaders from all over the world. opportunity and become part of a diverse community in Cambodia.
- Applicant must be committed to social change, women’s leadership, and education.
- They should have a genuine interest in contributing to positive change and supporting the development of women through education and leadership.
- Applicants should be curious about different cultures and willing to learn from the experiences, perspectives, and traditions of the Cambodian community.
- Flexibility, resourcefulness, and self-motivation are all necessary. Leadership Residents should be able to adapt to new situations, manage different responsibilities, and work independently while supporting students and alumnae.
- Applicants must be excellent in both written and spoken English language skills.
- They should be willing to work on nontraditional hours, such as evenings and weekends.
- Applicants should understand that some leadership activities, discussions, cultural events, and student support may take place outside regular working hours.
