The Carr-Ryan Center Racial Justice Fellowship Program (2026–2027) is a fellowship designed to support scholars and practitioners who want to reimagine systems, institutions, and movements to advance racial and economic equity. The program bridges civil rights in the U.S. with global human rights frameworks.
Fellows receive a $10,000 stipend for the academic year.
The fellowship is otherwise unfunded.
Open to post-docs, scholars, academics on sabbatical, human rights defenders, senior leaders in international organizations, and heads of human rights organizations.
Both emerging and established scholars/practitioners are welcome.
Projects must align with the Center’s research priorities.
