About Harvard University Center for the Environment - The Environmental Fellows Program
The Harvard Environmental Fellowship 2027 in USA is a two-year postdoctoral fellowship for recent PhD graduates from around the world. Hosted by Harvard University’s Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability, it supports interdisciplinary research on climate change, sustainability, environmental justice, and related global challenges. Selected fellows work closely with Harvard faculty across science, economics, law, and public policy while developing independent research.

Harvard University Center for the Environment - The Environmental Fellows Program Requirements
- Applicants must hold a doctoral or equivalent terminal degree in any discipline.
- Degrees must be completed between May 2023 and August 2027.
- Dissertations must be completed by September 2027.
- Applicants from all countries are eligible to apply.
- Candidates from fields where a PhD is not the terminal degree may also apply.
- Harvard graduates or current postdoctoral researchers may apply if their proposed research differs significantly from their previous PhD work.
- Applicants must secure a Harvard faculty mentor.
- Candidates must identify a Harvard host department that can provide office or laboratory space.
- Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English.
- Candidates must commit to the full two-year fellowship period.
