About Harvard University - STAR Lab Postdoctoral Fellow
The STAR Lab Postdoctoral Fellowship is designed for recent PhD graduates whose research interests focus on environmental, social, and economic impact initiatives led by the private sector.For the 2026 fellowship cycle, the selected fellow will work on a series of research projects conducted in partnership with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). The projects will explore how insights from behavioral economics can improve financial products and services that help individuals achieve better financial well-being.The fellowship provides an opportunity to engage in high-impact research while working closely with academic experts and industry professionals.

- The fellow will be compensated based on an annual salary of $90,000 along with standard Harvard employee benefits and funding for research-related travel to Sydney
Harvard University - STAR Lab Postdoctoral Fellow Requirements
- Eligible applicants must have recently completed their PhD in the fields of economics, business, psychology, public policy, political science, statistics, or another related field. PhD degree/diploma must be conferred prior to fellowship start date of August 1, 2026.
- An electronic PDF copy of doctoral degree verification is required for candidates who have received their degree within one year of the effective start date – either a certificate of completion from the degree-granting institution or a letter from the institution’s registrar is acceptable. Such documentation should state that all requirements for the degree have been successfully completed and should verify the date the degree has been or will be conferred.
