About HDR UK - Health Data Science Black Internship Programme
Health Data Science Black Internship Programme supports Black heritage students and graduates to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in health data science through placements, training and mentoring. The Health Data Internship is delivered by Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) with support from leading organisations across academia, healthcare, government and industry.
Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) delivers the programme and coordinates partners and hosts to provide practical projects, structured training, mentoring and alumni support to help participants explore careers in health data science.
Benefits of HDR UK - Health Data Science Black Internship Programme

- Successful applicants will participate in an eight-week paid internship, with pay based on the London Living Wage, currently listed as £14.80 per hour on the programme website.

- Have recently graduated from a UK university in 2025 or 2026
- Be an international student currently registered at a UK university
- No specific entry requirements
