The Hinchinbrook Shire Council Community Grant Program provides financial and strategic support for projects that enhance community life, promote youth achievement, strengthen arts and culture, and drive local economic growth.
Local Community Support Grant
For community organisations benefiting Shire residents.
Funding determined per application.
Youth Achievement Grant
For individuals/groups aged ≤24 representing the Shire nationally.
Up to $250 (individuals) or $700 (groups).
Community Activity Grant
For community groups aligned with lifestyle strategies.
Up to $2,000.
Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)
For professional/emerging artists and cultural projects.
Up to $10,000.
Community & Economic Development Grant
For projects/events boosting business, investment, and employment.
$2,000–$12,000.
Who can apply:
Individuals residing in the Shire
Local incorporated or auspiced non-profits and organisations
Businesses or organisations outside the region if activities benefit the Shire
Who cannot apply:
Applicants with outstanding acquittals or debts
Government agencies or schools offering compulsory education
Projects already funded by Council
Ventures benefiting only a single business or narrow collective
