The Kenneth Roth Practitioner-In-Residence Program 2025–2026, organized by Human Rights Watch,is a mid-career fellowship designed for human rights practitioners from anywhere in the world.The program supports an emerging leader in the human rights movement, giving them a platform to advance ambitious change.
Salary (U.S.-based): $80,000 – $88,000 USD.

Minimum 5 years of human rights research or advocacy experience.
Track record of delivering human rights impact.
Recognized or emerging expert consulted by policymakers, journalists, activists, etc.
Open to all nationalities.
Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of international human rights law required.
Proficiency in another language (besides English) strongly desired.
