The IEEE USA Government Fellowship 2027 is a fully funded opportunity for IEEE members to work full-time in Washington, D.C. for 12 months, bridging engineering and government. Fellows serve in the U.S. Congress or Department of State, influencing national policy on technology, energy, cybersecurity, and diplomacy.IEEE-USA, the organizational unit of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) representing U.S. members, has run this prestigious program since 1973. It places engineers directly into federal government roles, providing technical expertise to lawmakers and officials. Over 150 IEEE members have participated, shaping policy on AI, energy systems, and international tech collaboration.
