About inSIG Fellowship

The India School on Internet Governance (inSIG) organizes its 11th edition from September 05 to 07, 2026, at the BITS Pilani, Goa Campus. hosted jointly by the inSIG consortium of Internet Society India Chapters of Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Trivandrum, and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). This flagship event brings together participants interested in shaping the future of Internet governance.

Benefits of inSIG Fellowship

Below are the benefits of the fellows based on the fellowship category:

  • Indian Fellows:
    • Travel reimbursement up to ₹10,000 (with valid bills)
    • Twin-sharing accommodation
    • Food and event fee waiver
  • International Fellows:
    • Twin-sharing accommodation
    • Food and event fee waiver
    • No travel support
  • Returning Fellows:
    • Twin-sharing accommodation and food
    • No travel support
  • ISOC Chapter Fellows & Local Goa participants:
    • Selection through internal/local processes
    • Local fellows will not receive travel or accommodation support

inSIG Fellowship Requirements

  • Indian applicants from any stakeholder group (e.g., Government, Civil Society, Academia, Media, Technical, Private Sector) with a demonstrated interest or contribution in Internet Governance
  • International applicants from any country with interest in IG
  • Past inSIG fellows may apply as Returning Fellows
  • Commitment to diversity (gender, geography, stakeholder group) will influence selection

Application Date and Process

  • Visit the APNIC Fellowship Management System for the application
  • Register and fill in the inSIG 2026 Fellowship Application
  • The use of AI to develop the substantive content of the application is highly discouraged. Applications should reflect the applicant’s own understanding, experiences and expectations.
  • Submit your application between June 26 and July 16, 2026
  • Await the results on July 28, 2026, published on the inSIG website
