About INEGI PhD Scholarship
The INEGI PhD Scholarship is a funded doctoral research opportunity in Porto, Portugal, focused on developing mesoscale models for fiber-reinforced polymers with microscopic defects under the HOOPLA project. INEGI PhD Scholarship Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with finite element method for structural analysis
- Proficient knowledge of Python or other programming languages
- Knowledge of the mechanics of composite materials
- Experience in characterization and modeling of composite materials
- Experience writing technical reports, scientific reports, or project documentation
- Initiative, sense of responsibility, organization, autonomy, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills
- Critical analysis and goal orientation
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly explain technical concepts
- Ability to present results to team members or mentors
- Experience working in a team environment
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English, written and spoken
