About INPEX Foundation Scholarship
INPEX Foundation Scholarship 2027 in Japan provides fully funded master’s study opportunities for qualified students from Indonesia, Australia, and the UAE, covering tuition, travel, a monthly stipend, and settling-in support so scholars can focus on their graduate studies.
The scholarship is offered by the INPEX Scholarship Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation established in March 1981 to foster goodwill and understanding by supporting exceptional young people to study in Japan and by promoting youth exchange between Japan and other nations.
Benefits of INPEX Foundation Scholarship

- A settling-in allowance of ¥60,000 upon arrival

INPEX Foundation Scholarship Requirements
- Applicants from Indonesia must be under 30, be Indonesian nationals, have a GPA of at least 3.0, be from a STEM-related field, and have graduated from a prominent Indonesian university
- Australian candidates must be under 30, be Australian citizens, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 5.25/7.0 from a major Australian university; they may study any subject
- UAE applicants must be under 30, be UAE citizens, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 from a prominent UAE university; they may study any subject
- Indonesian applicants’ proposed master’s program in Japan must be in a STEM area
- A Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the accepting professor in Japan is required at the time of application
Application Date and Process
- Visit the INPEX Scholarship Foundation website and obtain the 2027 Scholarship Application Guidelines and Application Form for your country
- Choose a master’s program and an appropriate Japanese graduate school
- Find a professor whose research aligns with your proposed study and make direct contact
- Obtain the necessary Acceptance Letter (LOA) from the accepting professor
- Prepare the remaining documents specified in the 2027 standards
- Send the completed application in accordance with your country’s guidelines
