The 2025 edition of the India School on Internet Governance (inSIG) is to be a 10th edition hosted jointly by the inSIG consortium of Internet Society India Chapters of Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Trivandrum, and BITS Pilani, Goa.
The dates of inSIG 2025 are 19 to 21 September 2025 (Day 1-3) with Day 0 events on 18 September 2025. The venue will be BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, NH 17B, Bypass, Road, Zuarinagar, Sancoale, near Dabolim Airport, Goa 403726
Benefits of inSIG Fellowship
inSIG2025 will have the following Fellowship categories:
- Indian Fellows (25 seats that includes 1 seat reserved for specially-abled persons) with travel reimbursement of maximum 10,000 INR (on submission of travel bills), twin-sharing accommodation, food, and inSIG event fee waiver. The decision of the Fellowship committee will be final regarding travel reimbursements.
- International Fellows (15 seats) with twin-sharing accommodation, food, and inSIG event fee waiver but with no travel support.
- inSIG Alumni are also welcome to apply for the current edition of inSIG. The number of seats will depend on the funds available. Returning fellows would be provided with twin sharing accommodation and food but no travel support.
- ISOC Chapter Fellows (about 5), to be internally selected from Indian Chapters who are jointly organising inSIG 2025.
Additional Information:
- Accommodation and dinner will be provided to all fellows post afternoon from 18th September 2025 (day 0).
- Checkout timings from hotel will be in the morning or by 12:00 noon on day 3 (21 September 2025).
inSIG Fellowship Requirements
- Any individual from India, from any stakeholder community (Government /IGO , Private/ Business sector, Civil Society, Media , Academia and Technical ) who has an interest in Internet Governance, and has in the past contributed or wishes to contribute to IG processes, may apply for this programme as an Indian Fellow.
- Any individual from any part of the world can apply as an International Fellow.
Application Date and Process
- Fellowship Applications will be open from 18 June 2025 to 13 July 2025. Results will be communicated on 25 July 2025 on the (inSIG) website.
- Fellowship applicants will be selected to maintain the diversity of stakeholder, gender, geography and culture.
- Local participants from Goa will be selected through a separate local process after ascertaining the number of seats available. No travel and accommodation will be provided to them.
