Institut Courtois Postdoctoral Fellowship Requirements
- Must hold a PhD or have a PhD in hand at the start of the fellowship.
- Doctorate must have been obtained within the last three years prior to the funding start (extensions possible for justified career breaks).
- Must be enrolled or plan to enroll in a postdoctoral program at Université de Montréal.
- Propose a novel and substantial research project related to members’ fields of expertise at Institut Courtois.
- Have legal eligibility to work in Canada or be willing to obtain a work permit (visa support provided).
- Demonstrate high academic performance and research ability.

- Fill out the Notice of Intent online before the deadline (10 September 2026).
- Include project title, 10 keywords, PhD information, three referees, mentor/co-mentor details.
- Arrange for three referees to send recommendation letters directly to [email protected].
- Prepare a research project proposal (up to 6 pages).
- Develop a budget and budget rationale.
- Attach bibliography, official doctoral transcript, and academic CV with publications.
- Obtain a support letter from the proposed Institut Courtois mentor.
