Opportunity Details
The IWM Austria Digital Humanism Fellowship Program 2026–2027 is a fully funded fellowship hosted by the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna, Austria. Part of the Digital Humanism Program, which studies how technology and society interact. The goal is to support human-centered innovation while respecting universal human rights.
Postdoctoral stipend: €3,300/month
Doctoral stipend: €2,750/month
Fellows cover their own living/research costs (travel, accommodation, insurance, etc.).
IWM provides: office space, internet, research facilities, and administrative support.
Fellows join the IWM scholarly community and participate in institute activities.
Must be enrolled in a doctoral program OR have obtained a PhD within the last 4 years (after 20 January 2022).
Only one application per academic year.
Previous IWM fellowship recipients must wait two academic years before reapplying.
Cannot reapply for the same fellowship program if already awarded.
