The Institute for Human Sciences (Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen – IWM) is an internationally acclaimed institute for advanced study in Vienna, Austria. Funded in partnership with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure, this fellowship provides selected junior scholars with a dedicated office, access to top-tier research infrastructure, and a monthly stipend to investigate how technological innovations can be aligned with human values and social well-being.
If you are selected for the Digital Humanism Junior Visiting Fellowship, here is what your fellowship package includes:
Postdoctoral Stipend: €3,300 per month for fellows who have defended their PhD by the application deadline.
Doctoral Stipend: €2,750 per month for candidates currently pursuing an active PhD.
Free Research Infrastructure: Dedicated personal office space at IWM in Vienna, high-speed internet, and free administrative services.
Academic Community: Full integration into the IWM community of international scholars, senior visiting fellows, and institutional seminars.
