Institute of International Education (IIE) is currently accepting applications for its NextGen Service Fellowship 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to click here to learn more about this opportunity and apply for it.
The NextGen Service Fellowship provides funding for U.S. college students at partner universities to gain hands-on experience in international development while addressing the needs of communities overseas. This Fellowship aims to inspire and equip the next generation of American public service leaders through immersive, hands-on experience working in and with communities around the world, including Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Program benefits are for a 4-week program. Students participating in longer programs may self-fund portions beyond 4 weeks. Please see summer program options for more information about program timing. The Fellowship covers:
*If you are required to purchase airfare or insurance through your program or university, IIE will reimburse based on equivalent amounts had IIE booked directly.
