About ICGEB Arturo Falaschi SMART Fellowships
The programme promotes the mobility of researchers between ICGEB Member States as a way of enhancing skill development, acquisition of specific hands-on training in technologies available in the receiving laboratory and increasing bilateral cooperation in science and technology, and should provide clear evidence of strong collaboration between the two laboratories.
Benefits of ICGEB Arturo Falaschi SMART Fellowships
The selected fellows will receive:-
- Monthly stipend of $1,500 (PhD)(approx. ₹1,35,189.30) or $2,000 (approx. ₹1,80,252.40) (Postdoctoral)
- International economy return travel
- Health insurance coverage
- $500(approx. ₹45,063.10) monthly bench fee for laboratory consumables
ICGEB Arturo Falaschi SMART Fellowships Requirements
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a national of an ICGEB Member State
- plan to conduct research at an institution in a different ICGEB Member State
- be either registered for a PhD or have obtained a PhD degree within the last 5 years
- be actively working in a research institution
- propose a collaborative research project between home and receiving laboratories (3-9 months duration)
Note:
- Young scientists holding an MSc or equivalent can also apply. Preference is given to scientists at the beginning of their research career.
- There is no age limit.
