About IJP German-British Programme

The IJP German-British Programme 2026–2027 is a journalism exchange initiative that fosters collaboration and understanding between British and German media professionals.

Benefits of IJP German-British Programme

• Fellows receive a one-time bursary of €3,800.

• This is intended to cover travel, food, and accommodation.

• No additional remuneration is provided; fellows are expected to contribute personally.

 

IJP German-British Programme Requirements

• Open to British and German journalists aged 18–40.

• Applicants must be editors, trainees, or regular freelancers.

• British applicants with little or no German language skills are encouraged to apply.

Application Date and Process

The application deadline is June 15th, 2026. Applications should include:

• CV
• A letter of recommendation by an editor or supervisor supporting the application
• Four samples of publications (for TV and radio journalists: a comprehensive list of contributions, no clips)
• Preferences regarding host organizations and/or cities/regions The selection committee will inform applicants by July 15th, 2026.
