Opportunity Details
The German-Latin American Programme aims to foster relations between Germany and Latin America. To this end, it offers young journalists from Latin America the opportunity to work as correspondents for two months in Berlin. German journalists, on the other hand, are given the opportunity to work in a Latin American country for the same period of time.
Total scholarship: €4,000
€3,500 paid at the start
€500 paid after submitting a journalistic report
Covers basic expenses: travel, accommodation, meals.
IJP covers accommodation during the intro seminar and mid-term trip.
Journalistic work is unpaid by the organization.
Latin American journalists aged 25–38.
Strong interest in Germany.
Good German language skills preferred; excellent English accepted.
