The Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT) Peace and Security Grant Program supports organisations working to prevent and reduce violent conflict. The initiative funds evidence-based, community-led peacebuilding projects that promote dialogue, resilience, and sustainable security, with an emphasis on local impact and systemic change.
JRCT wishes to prioritise support for charitable work on the following issues:
Eligible applicants include organisations that:
Work in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, or security-related fields
Implement community-focused, inclusive, and evidence-based interventions
Can demonstrate impact on conflict reduction and sustainable security
Engage multiple stakeholders and local actors to strengthen peace processes
Applicants should submit proposals that include:
Project objectives linked to conflict prevention and peacebuilding
Evidence-based strategies demonstrating feasibility and impact
Community engagement plans that involve local stakeholders
Implementation timeline and budget
Monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure peace and security outcomes
