Societal Impact: Promotes equal treatment, protects vulnerable groups, and strengthens democracy.
Community Empowerment: Supports racial/religious minorities, refugees, and migrants in tackling systemic injustices.
Wellbeing & Resilience: Funds care, healing, safety, and sustainability practices to prevent burnout and trauma.
Inclusive Practices: Encourages accessibility, disability justice, and trauma-informed approaches in organising.
Conflict Resolution: Provides resources for transformative justice, accountability, and mediation.
Capacity Building: Invests in sustainable infrastructure and healthy organisational culture.
Flexibility: Recognises and funds grassroots strategies already in use, rather than imposing definitions.
National & Local Reach: Focuses on UK advocacy but allows local/regional projects with wider structural significance.
Prioritisation of Lived Experience: Emphasises funding groups led by those directly affected by racism and oppression.
Eligible applicants include organisations that:
Work on human rights, legal advocacy, or justice initiatives
Can demonstrate impact on equity, civil liberties, or protection of rights
Engage communities or stakeholders in participatory approaches
Implement projects that enhance accountability and fairness within legal or social systems
