About Kigali Paramount Hotel Authorship Proposal on Mountain Gorilla Ecosystem in Rwanda

This initiative, funded through USD 40,000 grant from the Hotel’s promoter, stems from the founder’s personal inspiration following a memorable encounter with Rwanda’s mountain gorillas. The publication will serve as a flagship educational and conservation reference, available in all guest rooms at the Hotel and the hotel website (kigaliparamounthotel.com), aimed at both local and international audiences.

Research and Submission Duration: Maximum 5 months

 The purpose of this publication is to:

1. Educate readers on the biology, behavior, and habitat of the endangered mountain gorillas.
2. Highlight Rwanda’s achievements in conservation and the critical role of local   communities.
3. Promote ecotourism and sustainable travel to gorilla habitats.
4. Document the history, successes, and challenges of gorilla protection efforts.
5. Celebrate Rwanda’s biodiversity and cultural connection to its gorilla population.

Kigali Paramount Hotel Authorship Proposal on Mountain Gorilla Ecosystem in Rwanda Requirements

This call is open to:

Academic scholars and research institutions, writers and researchers with expertise in natural history, ecology, conservation, and biodiversity, Interdisciplinary teams especially those combining scientific, cultural, and tourism perspectives and Women researchers are highly encouraged to apply.

The selected author(s) will be responsible for:

1. Conducting literature reviews, field visits, and interviews.
2. Developing the book structure and writing original, engaging, and scientifically accurate
3. Submitting a final printed manuscript ready for publication.
4. Publishing a peer-reviewed paper derived from the book content.

Applicant Qualifications

Familiarity with East African ecosystems and conservation efforts and  ability to work independently in Rwanda
