Opportunity Details
The Kinship Conservation Fellowship 2026 is a month-long, in-residence program designed to support experienced conservation practitioners from around the world. It focuses on developing leadership skills and applying market-based solutions to conservation challenges. Fellows engage in interactive discussions, systems-thinking exercises, and peer learning to enhance their impact in the field.
Stipend: $8,000 (net of U.S. tax withholding)
Non-U.S. citizens may receive approx. $5,600 after 30% withholding
Tax Responsibility: Fellows must handle their own local/state/federal taxes

The 2026 program runs June 28 – July 28 at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, USA.
Applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM US Central Standard Time on January 11, 2026. Applications that are in progress but have not been submitted by this deadline will not be considered. Letters of recommendation should be uploaded to the system by the letter writer by January 18, 2026.
