About KU Leuven - Science@Leuven Scholarship
The Science@Leuven Scholarship at the Faculty of Science of KU Leuven is a prestigious academic award established to recognise and support outstanding students who demonstrate a keen interest in scientific research and a commitment to the advancement of knowledge.Motivated and talented international students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Science of KU Leuven are invited to apply for the scholarship. Scholarships are highly competitive, as the number of scholarships per academic year is limited. Only students with excellent results (comparable to at least Distinction at KU Leuven) in their previous curriculum will be considered.
Benefits of KU Leuven - Science@Leuven Scholarship
- Up to 12,000 euros for one year
- Covers tuition fee for one year
- Covers insurance and basic health insurance coverage
- Living expenses (amount can vary)
- Scholarship for the second master’s year continues if outstanding results in the first year
KU Leuven - Science@Leuven Scholarship Requirements
- Applicants have not studied or worked at the University of Leuven before
- Applicants have a bachelor’s degree from a foreign university that gives access to the master’s program
- Applicants have not yet acquired a master’s degree or a PhD
- Prove excellent study results (high grades or academic honors)
- Show strong motivation to follow a master’s program at the Faculty of Science of KU Leuven
- Willing to act as ambassadors for the program
- English language proficiency: TOEFL minimum 94 or IELTS minimum 7
Application Date and Process
- Apply for the master’s program through the KU Leuven application tool
- Upload a comprehensive list of course titles with ECTS credits and results
- Provide a short description (half to one page) of relevant courses according to ECTS guidelines
- Submit two reference letters from internationally renowned professors
- Include a motivation letter
- After submitting the master’s application, capture a screenshot of the success message
- Apply for the Science@Leuven Scholarship via the provided link
- Registration is complete after receiving an email confirmation
