About LAW Legal Fellowship
The LAW Legal Fellowship South Asia is a remote legal fellowship offered by Legal Action Worldwide (LAW) for law students and recent graduates interested in human rights law. It focuses on the Myanmar/Rohingya crisis and Afghanistan, providing practical exposure to international justice and accountability.
Legal Action Worldwide is an independent non-profit organisation comprising human rights lawyers and jurists working to ensure that survivors of human rights violations and international crimes can access justice. LAW operates across fragile and conflict-affected settings in 18 countries, applying a survivor-centred, gender-competent, and trauma-informed approach.

LAW Legal Fellowship Requirements
- LLM students, final-year undergraduate law students, or recent law graduates
- Knowledge of International Human Rights Law or International Criminal Law
- Fluency in English
- Strong legal research and drafting skills
- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong technical literacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous professional or volunteer experience in research, human rights, or non-profit organisations (desirable)
- Familiarity with the Afghanistan context (advantage)
