Opportunity Details
The LEO Foundation aims to nurture the next generation of researchers and promote public understanding of science, particularly in medicine, chemistry, pharmacy, and skin health. The programme funds educational and awareness initiatives that meaningfully engage children, youth, and the wider public in scientific inquiry.
Salaries for project staff.
Specified operating and administrative costs (capped at 5%).
Travel expenses and publication costs.
Funding for revenue-generating activities is allowed if the business case is explained and any generated revenue is reinvested in the project.
Projects must be conducted within Denmark.
Applicants may include schools, research institutions, NGOs, and organizations promoting STEM education.
Individual students seeking personal educational support are not eligible.
Only one application per applicant per call is allowed.
Proposed projects must not have occurred prior to notification of grant decisions.
Prepare the Application: Include project purpose, target groups, expected impact, planned activities, involved parties, future anchoring, and a detailed budget aligned with the project duration.
Language Requirements: Applications can be submitted in Danish or English for grants below 1,000,000 DKK. Larger grants may require English-language submissions at the invitation stage.
Submit Online: Ensure all documentation and budget details are complete.
Evaluation Process: Applications undergo an initial screening, followed by review by the LEO Foundation Grant Committee, and if necessary, external peer review.
Notification and Start Dates: Submission deadline is 14 January 2026. Applicants are notified in April 2026, with projects starting no earlier than 1 May 2026.
