The Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea) provides financial and programmatic support to overseas universities that organize Korean literature translation workshops.The initiative strengthens global engagement with Korean literature by supporting structured, practice-based translation programs led by qualified instructors, writers, and translation experts.
Support amounts are determined after a comprehensive review and are finalized in Korean Won (KRW).
Eligible expenses include:
Instructor and lecturer fees
Operating and administrative costs directly related to the workshop
Invitation and visit expenses for writers or experts
Fees related to collection or exchange of materials, within approved limits
Support Grant (KRW)
- Approximately 12 seminars (Long term) : About 15,000 KRW
- Up to 7 seminars (Short-term) : About 5,000,000 KRW
Who Is Eligible?
The program is open to:
Overseas universities offering Korean language or Korean literature courses
Institutions with the capacity to implement structured translation workshops
Universities in any country, with no language restrictions on the target translation language
