The Massage Therapy Foundation offers its Community Service Awards to fund initiatives that bring therapeutic massage and bodywork to communities with limited or no access to such services. This program fosters partnerships between massage therapy professionals and community-based organizations to enhance health outcomes and well-being.
Maximum Award Amount: $20,000 per project (one-year period)
Be a recognized non-profit organization or an affiliate of a qualifying organization
Have been operational for at least one year in their state or province
Hold tax-exempt status under 501(c)(3) in the U.S. or recognized as a qualified non-profit charitable organization in other countries
Already provide community-based therapeutic or service programs
Designate a qualified staff member to oversee the project and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
The program is open to organizations in the U.S. and internationally.
Identify a Project Need: Focus on communities with limited access to therapeutic massage and bodywork.
Prepare the Proposal: Include project objectives, target population, implementation plan, staffing, and budget aligned with program goals.
Designate Project Oversight: Assign a qualified staff member to manage the project and ensure compliance with regulations.
Submit Application: Complete all required materials and adhere to deadlines as specified by the Foundation.
