This two-year program, which will begin in 2025, is designed to equip students with theoretical and analytical abilities in education, information sharing, and learning development. It serves as the cornerstone for AUW’s Women Teaching Women, Women Learning from Women (WTW-WLW) project, which seeks to establish a new network of secondary schools for young women and girls in refugee shelters and displaced communities.

The two-year hybrid program aims to empower women in education, especially young female reformists/entrepreneurs committed to creating an impact through educational development and societal leadership. The program is offered in partnership with renowned schools of education, such as Boston College, Johns Hopkins University, and California State University. Upon acceptance, all nationalities are eligible for scholarships.

The program, developed in collaboration with several colleges in the United States, aims to build a strong sense of community development through student-led projects, group discussions, and social activities. It focuses on improving leadership, administrative, and policy skills and knowledge of efficient education provision’s philosophy, dynamics, and economics.

Master of Arts in Education by Asian University for Women (AUW) Requirments

Scholarship Eligibility and Terms:

  • Open to MA in Education students only.
  • Available for both Domestic and International Students from selected countries, based on merit.
  • Students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3 each semester to retain the scholarship.
  • Eligible candidates can receive a 60% scholarship.
  • Those ineligible for merit-based scholarships can apply for financial aid.

 Required Documents

Prepare the following documents to apply for a master’s degree at the Asian University for Women:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Completing a bachelor’s degree (minimum three years) with a CGPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 or in the final year of study.
  • Statement of Purpose: Submit a statement within 500 words explaining how the graduate program aligns with future goals and why it was chosen over other programs.
  • Essay: Write a 500–700 word essay demonstrating a passion for education, writing skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Provide at least two recommendation letters, one academic and one professional, from professors or work supervisors.
  • Proof of English Proficiency: Submit one of the following: IELTS score of at least 6.5, TOEFL score of at least 86 (internet-based), or take an in-house English language test if no other proficiency certificate is available.
