The Tu Youyou Award consists of a monetary prize of 100,000 CHF in total and an award medal for each recipient. If there is more than one winner, the monetary prize will be divided equally amongst the winners.

Eligibility is limited to individual scientists with exceptional achievements in relevant fields.
