Opportunity Details
The Mikrolegat Kickstart Micro Grant Program provides early-stage innovators in Denmark with financial support, mentoring, and visibility to develop sustainable, green-focused ideas into viable startups. Grants of up to 50,000 DKK fund prototype development, marketing, idea protection, and market research, while recipients receive ongoing mentorship and exposure through program channels. The initiative prioritizes students, recent graduates, and emerging entrepreneurs contributing to sustainability and the green transition.
Maximum grant:
Without CVR: up to 25,000 DKK
With CVR: up to 50,000 DKK (requires 25% self-financing)
Eligible expenses:
Prototype components and workshop assistance
Marketing and communications
Financial advice and idea protection
Website development and market research
Ineligible expenses: travel, accommodation, salaries for applicants, electronics, ApS establishment, VAT, taxes, and past expenses
Individuals or teams with a primary applicant aged 18 or older
At least 50% of the founding team must be students or recent graduates (within three months) from Danish educational institutions, including vocational programs
Ideas without a CVR number or startups with a recent CVR registration (≤12 months) and turnover below 50,000 DKK
Step 1: Prepare Submission
Written answers explaining the idea or startup
Detailed budget showing planned use of funds
Video pitch demonstrating the concept
Step 2: Application Review
Evaluation by a committee of Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship staff and external experts
Final decisions made in an evaluation meeting
All applicants receive feedback to improve ideas and future submissions
Step 3: Post-Selection Requirements
CVR applicants must meet ownership and company age criteria
Recipients must participate in follow-up questionnaires over three years for program evaluation
