Mito Foundation’s Incubator Grants support innovative research efforts with the potential to make a positive impact on the mito community. This funding mechanism aims to facilitate high-quality preliminary studies to enable the researcher to generate sufficient data to secure external funding to continue their research.
Maximum grant: A$25,000
Eligible applicants include:
Researchers based in Australia or overseas
Projects must be centred on primary mitochondrial disease
Early-stage research teams demonstrating novel approaches and feasibility
Applicants may partner with other organizations, though co-funding is optional. Projects are evaluated by the Scientific and Medical Advisory Panel and approved by the Mito Foundation Board of Directors.
